A MAN has been left dead and another is injured after a car crash in Coleshill last night.
A blue Vauxhall Tigra collided with a red Honda CR-V on the A404 Whielden Lane at around 11pm.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 35-year-old male, was declared dead at the scene.
Police said the motorist, who has not yet been named, was from the area.
The driver of the Honda, a 66-year-old man also from the area, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for treatment. He was released by fire crews from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after to the fatal collision.

YOUNG people are being targeted by health professionals in Bucks in a campaign to get screened for sexual health infection chlamydia.
A new postal self-test kit is set to become available soon, which people can order confidentially online. Including a prepaid envelope to return the test, the results are available by text or phone within 10 working days.
The initiative, which is part of a national clampdown, is being incorporated into NHS Buckinghamshire's 'More than a Hug' project which highlights the potential infertility that can be caused if the condition is left untreated.

THE public is being warned to expect delays as work to upgrade a recycling centre gets under way.
Buckinghamshire County Council said a six-week programme of health and safety improvements, which include replacing worn pavements and moving bins, at Amersham Household Waste Recycling Centre, began on Monday.
It hopes it will provide users with better surfaces for traffic and help cut noise levels at the site in London Road East.
The county council has apologised for any delays it says people using the centre may face.

RESIDENTS in Amersham could face more than a year of disruption as a project to replace £2million worth of gas pipes gets underway.
National Grid has started two major mains replacement programmes in Amersham, which will involve upgrading 14.2km of old iron mains with new, hard-wearing plastic pipes in Woodside Road and residential streets to the north of the town.
Work started in Roundwood Road and Grove Road on February 8.

PARENTS, governors and school staff have pleaded 'don't kill our kids' as speed limit on a road close to three schools could be increased.
Buckinghamshire County Council set to decide whether to put the speed limit back up to 40mph in Amersham Road (the A416), Chesham Bois, to the fury of those worried about the safety of children using the route.
It was reduced to 30mph in 2006 as part of the county council's ongoing speed limit review.

AMERSHAM Town Council is offering a free Christmas tree shredding service.
Residents are invited to bring their real tree to Hervines Park tomorrow (9/1) between 10am and 1pm.
The chippings will be spread on the town's parks and open spaces to aim to reduce weed growth.

POLICE have launched a Facebook page to encourage people to become a Special Constable.
The page on the social networking site is part of a campaign to recruit more of the volunteer police officers and will be linked to the main Thames Valley Police page.
The group will offer those thinking of taking up the position a chance to ask questions, get an insight into the role and information about how to join.

THE Community Library in Little Chalfont is set to become the first wireless broadband hotspot in the village.
Visitors from Tuesday (5/1) will be able to access the service on their own laptop computers at the library in Cokes Lane.
Jim Brooks, chairman of the Friends of Little Chalfont Library charity, which formed to save the library from closure and is now run by unpaid volunteers, said:"We already offer free access to the internet via our desktop PCs. This new service will give library visitors the ability to access our broadband network and the internet via their own laptop computers."
He added: "Some people might think that libraries are only about borrowing books and we have an excellent stock but we think providing a range of services is also important, including using modern technology to access information available on the internet. It will be a valuable new service for both local residents and visitors to the area. "

Snow and ice causes chaos

SNOW and plummeting temperatures caused chaos in the Chilterns this week as those travelling for Christmas and last minute shoppers faced icy conditions.
Residents of rural Bucks were snowed-in on Friday after waking to discover the heavy snowfall overnight which following the start of flurries on Thursday.
Below-freezing temperatures continued to cause problems, particularly to motorists in the following days and into this week.

A CHARITY radio station will take to the airwaves this Christmas to try to raise funds for an African school for orphaned children.
Radio Africa will broadcast from Café Africa, in Chesham Road, Amersham, for 48 hours between midday December 22 to midday on Christmas Eve. It aims to raise money for African Link - a locally-run charity helping poor and vulnerable African Children.
