CHILDREN were paid a visit by some firefighters this week.

Firefighters from Amersham Fire Station took their fire engine to Henry Allen Nursery School, in Mitchell Walk, on Monday when they paid a visit to children at the school.

The visit was arranged because the children have been learning about people who help us this half term.

Headteacher Sue Harratt said: "It went really well, the children have been so inspired by it and loved seeing the fire engine itself, they were really excited about that, but further more they were really inspired by the firemen.

"The firemen left them outfits to dress up in and they've been playing with small fire stations and engines. They've been really excited by it and it's really sparked their imagination, if you pardon the pun."

We'd like to hear from you.
