Elderly driver dies in car crash

AN ELDERLY woman has been killed in a car crash on the A404 near Penn Street.
The 73-year-old driver's green Honda Jazz was travelling towards Amersham when it left the road and rolled onto its side in a ditch close to the junction for Penn Street.

The motorist, who was from Holmer Green, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collsion at around 1.55pm on Saturday. Her relatives have been informed.
The road remained closed while police investigated. Flowers have since been left beside the road.
Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the car before the crash.
