A NEW hairdressing company which has been voted 'British Hairdresser of the year' is set to open a branch in Amersham.
HOB Salons, which received the 2009 accolade at the British Hairdressing Awards will take on the former Image Maker site, which is vacant, at 34-36 Sycamore Road.

It will be owned and run by May Bukauskiene who will open it early next month. She said: "Having been privy to the success that can be achieved with a strong franchise network such as HOB, I am delighted to be opening in Amersham. Both the immediate and surrounding areas of Beaconsfield, Little Chalfont and Chalfont St Peter are ideally suited to the clientele we cater for and I am confident I have a great team in place to bring the highest standards in hairdressing to Amersham."
It will be the company's nineteenth salon and is set to have a contemporary design, accommodating 18 styling stations. It plans to offer cut and colour services seven days a week, complimentary consultations, hair-up styling, extensions, nail services and hair treatmens.
Director Paul Simbler said: "We are thrilled May has decided to open her second franchise salon within our organisation. HOB Salons Amersham will now allow residents to experience the very best in British hairdressing on their doorstep."
The salon is set to offer all of its clients half price on all cuts, colourings and style services in the first fortnight of opening to celebrate.
