Hospital fundraisers' efforts are recognised

DONORS who raised funds for specialist equipment for skin cancer patients were shown how it has been put to good use.
They were invited to a reception by charity Scannappeal on Tuesday to celebrate it raising the £25,000 needed for the kit at Amersham Hospital as part of its Cancer Fighting Fund.
They were shown how it works and a plaque was unveiled marking their names in the waiting area of the dermatology department by the charity's chairman of its board of trustees Bryan Rigby, chief executive of Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust Anne Eden, and dermatology consultant Dr Mohsin Ali.
