AN AMERSHAM company has made a budding film maker's dream come true by helping him produce a film about his beloved pet.
Incentive company and motivation agency AYMTM, based in Anglo Office Park in White Lion Road provides businesses with programmes to award their staff.
But one different idea for a reward caught the company's eye and involved the creation of a film about a rescue cat, which has since captured the hearts of the public and was shown at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

ANSWERS about the future of services at Amersham Hospital are being demanded by concerned councillors following the announcement of cost-saving measures.
Uncertainty has shrouded the Whielden Street hospital, which has sparked fears among patients from Amersham, Chesham and across South Buckinghamshire. Worried Chiltern District Councillors agreed to write to Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust to ask them to explain cost-saving proposals.

DISABLED and elderly people will be denied Tube access at Amersham Station after transport bosses confirmed improvement works have been stopped.
The construction of two lifts to allow step-free access to the platforms, which was already underway, has been halted indefinitely as a result of the recession.
Transport for London announced the move following fears from train users, reported in the Examiner last week.

New parking plans under fire

PLANS which propose to introduce pay-and-display parking in Amersham's main shopping area have come under fire.
Buckinghamshire County Council is currently consulting residents and business owners on the proposed introduction of the meters in Sycamore Road.
The scheme follows controversy surrounding the council's similar plans to introduce parking charges in currently unrestricted areas in Amersham Old Town.

Woman found dead in flat

THE DECOMPOSING body of a 59 year old woman was in discovered in a flat in Washington Row, Amersham.

A TWO-MONTH crackdown on anti-social behaviour in the Chiltern District has been launched this week.
Thames Valley Police and Chiltern District Council launched Operation Confidence which will involve extra police visiting residents who have called them in the past about anti-social behaviour and will offer their services to help tackle the crime.

A COMMUTER whose car was left smashed after a tree branch fell on it has warned other motorists that they may also be left out-of-pocket.
Keith Gawler, 57, has criticised the poor state of the trees surrounding Chalfont & Latimer Underground station car park after noticing the offending tree has now completely fallen over.
