Thieves steal jewellery in Copperkins Lane raid
TWO brazen thieves broke into an Amersham home this week and stole jewellery from a bedroom despite triggering the security alarm.
The incident happened between 6.55pm and 7.05pm on Tuesday (22/9) at a property in Copperkins Lane.
Two offenders forced a rear kitchen window which set the alarm off. But they continued to search the master bedroom where they stole jewellery.
A neighbour responded to the alarm and saw the two men leave. One is described as between 20 and 30, dark skinned, heavy build, with a round face and wearing dark clothing.
Elsewhere, two mens bikes were stolen in the town this week with a specialist Epic mountain bike with red trim on its wheels stolen outside Iceland at noon on Monday (21/9).
The following day a dark grey Diamond Back bicycle was stolen from the bike racks outside Amersham station between 7am and 8pm.
Anyone with information should call police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
