Police hunt men after purse stolen from house

Posted by Hannah Williams on Aug 26, 09 03:14 PM in People

A PURSE was stolen from a handbag after two men called at an address in Amersham Road, Little Chalfont at 1pm on Monday.
The pair asked if they could take away metal left in the driveway by builders and when the householder went to speak to the builders, the front door was left ajar. On the victim's return the purse was missing and the men had gone. It was later found in Nightingales Lane, without cash.

Police are appealing for witnesses. One man is described as 40, plump and wearing a Morrison high visibility jacket. The second male was tall and a white van was noticed parked opposite the house. If you have any information call police on 08458 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
