A NEWLY-QUALIFIED Royal Air Force officer from Amersham is flying high after graduating from a prestigious military college in front of The Queen.
James Hudgell, 26, of Highland Road, completed his training as a flight lieutenant and hopes to go on to use his skills to look after injured troops.
FURNITURE was stolen in a break-in at a shipping container.
Police said 'a large number of items' were taken from the container which was behind Cargo Homeshop in Sycamore Road overnight on Monday to Tuesday this week.
This follows a similar incident between June 20 to June 21.
Police believe a large van would have been needed to transport the goods.

TWO new community support officers are on the beat in Amersham.
Tony Churchill, who was named as Thames Valley Police's PCSO of the year 2008 for his work in High Wycombe, has taken over in Amersham Old Town.
PCSO Babatunde Soledolu is now patrolling Amersham-on-the-Hill and Chesham Bois after transferring from High Wycombe.

AN AMERSHAM tree surgeon will have to pay nearly £4,000 after felling seven trees in a conservation area.
Nicholas Channer, of Copperkins Lane, Amersham, was fined £2,800 and ordered to pay costs of £1,000 by Aylesbury Magistrates' Court on July 21 after he pleaded guilty to cutting down the trees without giving notice.
A 14-YEAR-OLD was robbed in broad daylight after two males threatened him and demanded money.
The incident happened at around 1.50pm in Hervines Park, Amersham, on Monday.
