A PERFORMING Arts student at Amersham and Wycombe College will take to the stage to sing at the annual Learning and Skills Council awards next week.
Nadine Samuels, 18, who is in the second year of a National Dilploma in Performing Arts and Dance, auditioned against 25 other to earn the right to sing at the event at the Copthorne Hotel, in Gatwick on Wednesday, May 20.
She said: "I love to sing and am really thrilled to have got through the auditions and to have the opportunity to perform on stage."
Her course leader Rebecca Smedley said: "Nadine has a natural performance ability and has improved her dance technique by leaps and bounds."

A GRAPHIC Design tutor at Amersham & Wycombe College has had his new book praised by one of Britain's most prominent design magazines.
Matthias Hillner, course leader for BA (Hons) Graphic Design Studies, saw his book Virtual Typography described as a "great guide" by Creative Review magazine.
The book explores the visual arrangement of words and letters in the context of multimedia and touches on work from a variety of designers including Channel 4 and Pentagram Design.
Also course leader for the foundation Degree and BA (Hons) Photography and Digital Imaging course Minna Kantonen has had her book, A Small Book of Trees, published.
It is a collection of trees uprooted from their traditional habitats and placed in various urban environments.

A BLOOD donation session will be held in Amersham on Tuesday.
The event will be held at St John's Methodist Church, in Woodside Road, between 2pm and 3.55pm and 4.45pm and 6.45pm.
