Am-Tesco-Pirates.jpgStaff at Tesco in Old Amersham donned pirate garb and raised more than £1,000 for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
All 300 employees took part in the pirate day which raised funds for Tesco's charity of the year by staff using a rowing machine.
The fundraisers were sponsored to use the machine and customers offered donations to help boost the coffers on the big day.
Customer Services manager Sammy Naji said: "It was a great effort."
Supermarket manager Sarah Pillinger said: "It was a brilliant occasion which went down very well with all of our staff."
