22708652 Sam-Bignell.jpgA teenage boy who harassed residents and businesses in Amersham has been banned from parts of the town for his antisocial behaviour.
Sam Bignell, 16, from Amersham Old Town was given an Anti-Social Behaviour Order after being convicted of shoplifting, possession of cannabis and public order offences.
The ASBO forbids him from entering a specified area of Amersham on the Hill, using threatening, intimidating, insulting or abusive words and behaviour in public and being in possession of or consuming alcohol in public.

It was issued by Aylesbury Magistrates Court last Tuesday after incidents on October15 and November 15 last year and runs for two years.
Bignell was also handed a 18 month supervision order and a three month electronic curfew which runs from 7pm to 7am each night.
Anti-social behaviour officer PC Vicki Kerr, said: "I am pleased that the Magistrates have supported us by imposing this Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
"Sam's behaviour has caused harassment and distress to many residents, businesses and members of the public in Amersham on the Hill.
"The police, Sam and his mother all fully support the ASBO and hope that this ASBO will put an end to his criminal and anti-social behaviour."
Acting superintendent Stuart Greenfield, commander for Chiltern, added: "This order shows that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated and that the Crown Prosecution Service supports the police in seeking to reduce anti-social behaviour across the Chiltern Vale by the imposition of such orders."
Anyone who sees Bignell breaking the conditions of his ASBO should inform Thames Valley Police on 08458 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

We'd like to hear from you.

It's always sad to read about this type of case. He clearly comes from a broken home, and needs some love and support, not an ASBO. He probably has no male role model in life to look up to, and is bored and feels that nobody is listening.

Perhaps the community should engage with him and offer him a nice job, so that he can walk the right path in life.

The ASBO lad's beguiling eyes and cheeks (pictured) would make him an ideal suitor for a spell of Her Majesty's Pleasure.

Stop making such ignorant, socialist comments and get back to the kitchen, Sarah. You don't need the internet to make me a sandwich.
