Little Chalfont vision drawn up

LC-Mason.jpgA longterm vision is being drawn up for Little Chalfont.
The action plan, when defined, should enable the village to access funding for a variety of much cherished projects.
Driving the market town health check, the official blurb for the funding blueprint, are members of the Little Chalfont Revitalisation Group.

Its members launched a widespread public consultation exercise in April and they will attempt to put the results of that into a definitive vision statement, which will be available in January.
Already group chairman Mike Mason, a former finance director with the mighty Cadbury Schweppes Group, has prepared an initial draft.
Beyond the publication of the blueprint, in January, members of the revitalisation group are keen to hold a public meeting in February.
That meeting, to be held at the village hall, in Cokes Lane, will help to define a broadly based action plan, which will have key action dates and funding targets built in.
Mr Mason, 66, of Cokes Farm Lane, Little Chalfont, said: "The residents of Little Chalfont have grasped this unique opportunity to influence and shape the future of their village.
"All members of the of the community have been heard, families, children and teenagers, businesses, churches, schools, professionals and retirees,
"They have given their views on every aspect of community life, in reply to three general questions: What do you like about Little Chalfont? What would you like to see changed about Little Chalfont? And what would be your big vision for the village?"
Mr Mason declined to offer definitive conclusions. "We must respect the mandatory process, in order to get funding, and it is now required for us to produce a working draft, which embodies the vision. That will be done in January, " he said.
