Honda pay visit to The Amersham School
Children from Amersham benefitted from a leadership day organised by motoring giants Honda.
The Honda School of Dreams team ran a two day session at The Amersham School which involved a multitude of schools.
Aside from the Amersham School, other participating organisations were: Elangeni, Woodside, Bell Lane and Little Chalfont Schools.
A total of 36 youngsters aged from 10 to 12 took part and they were joined by a seven-strong staff team representing all the schools.
Kelly Cossins, who helped organise the two day event, said: "It was a fantastic success. The first day was about bonding and self confidence. On the second day we all worked on defined problems and the emphasis was on finding or suggesting a solution to those problems."
Miss Cossins, who runs a well organised after school science club at The Amersham School, received an invitation to attend the launch of a new maths campaign at the Department of Children, Families, and Schools in London.
This was a well deserved pat on the back for a job well done and Miss Cossins was understadably chuffed to have received a personal invitation from the Department. "I enjoy my job and love the school, " she said.
