School of the Week: Hyde Heath Infant

SOTW-Hyde-Heath.jpgWHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL?
ISABELLA FINCH, seven: "Art because it's very colourful and I like painting a lot and doing sparkly stuff and using pencil and pen. I usually squirt the sparkly stuff on drawings."
OLIVER HALL, six: "Maths because I can do adding."
HARVEY HALL, six: "Design and technology because we paint a lot and do drawings and make things. We make skeletons because that was our topic. They didn't come alive luckily."
LIA BEEKHUIJSEN, six: "Maths because I like doing my ten times table, it's very easy."
OLIVIA HOPKINSON, six: "My favourite subject is art because we get to do lots of paintings and mix colours."
LUCY CARTER, six: "Art because we get to do lots of glittery things and make cards. We are going to make some Christmas cards."

IF YOU COULD GO ANYWHERE ON A SCHOOL TRIP, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Isabella: "The cinema because there's lots and lots of films and you get popcorn. One of my favourite films is Merlin because its about magical stuff and a boy with magic and he can't tell anyone."
Oliver: "To the seaside because I can play with a bucket and spade and swimming in the sea."
Harvey: "I would go into London because I like the London Eye and I went there for my birthday. And go to the pantomime."
Lia: "I would go to Cornwall because I went there and it was very hot and nice and we stayed in a little farm."
Olivia: "I would go to Cyprus because I haven't been anywhere else. The only other place I have been is Portugal."
Lucy: "To Paris because I have been there and it's really nice. I would like to see the Eiffel Tower."

IF YOU HAD £100 TO SPEND ON ANYTHING YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD YOU BUY?
Isabella: "Cuddly toys. I would like the animal ones and some have batteries in them and if you press the bottom they move and make noises."
Oliver: "A dog because then I can ride on it like a horse. A poodle."
Harvey: "A rare house like a mansion. It would have lots of things in it to eat and lots of money and toys."
Lia: "A visit to Strictly Come Dancing. Lisa and Brendon are my favourite."
Olivia: "I would get a huge trampoline for the school because all of the children could go on it."
Lucy: "A white horse because I really like horses."

IF YOU COULD MEET ANYONE FAMOUS, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Isabella: "David Tennant because there's lots of monsters and aliens in Dr Who and it's scary."
Oliver: "My dad is famous. My dad plays football, he used to play for Harrogate Town and he would play football with me."
Harvey: "David Beckham because he's a famous football player and I like him."
Lia: "I would meet Girls Aloud because Cheryl Cole does the X Factor and I like watching her because she is with the girls."
Olivia: "Amy Winehouse because she looks like me."
Lucy: "Rhianna because she is my favourite singer."

IF YOU COULD BE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
Isabella: "A cat because I have had lots of cats in my life and I really like them and they can be really funny."
Oliver: "A cheetah because then I could be faster in a running race."
Harvey: " A woodpecker because it pecks and if somebody wasn't my friend I would peck him down."
Lia: "A hummingbird because they fly backwards."
Olivia: "I want to be a dolphin because then I could go underwater and see what it is like. I like swimming and am on level seven."
Lucy: "I would like to a rabbit because they are my favourite animal."

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Isabella: "An animal trainer because I like animals a lot."
Oliver: "A famous footballer like Ronaldo."
Harvey: "On X Factor singing."
Lia: "A Strictly Come Dancing person because I like dancing and do street dance and ballet. I don't know if I will do it because it takes quite a lot of practise and my memory is not very good and I probably wouldn't remember the dance."
Olivia: "A singer because then I will get lots of money. I would like to be like Cheryl Cole because she looks like a princess."
Lucy: "A vet because I really like animals and would like to make them better."
