Former collegeagues of a financier who died after he threw himself in front of a train a week ago are this week coming to terms with his death.
Former Dr Challoner's schoolboy James Adams married Katy Jackson on Saturday, September 27.
James, who comes from Little Chalfont, and Katy tied the knot at Queens College, Cambridge where they both attended University.
James's family home is in Little Chalfont and many local people attended the wedding, taking over the College for the whole weekend.
There was a strong contingent from Dr Challoner's where James studied before going on to obtain a 1st in Natural Science at Cambridge. The couple "punted" off to their honeymoon after a ceremony in in the Chapel followed by refreshments in the Courts and Dinner in Old Hall.

The Chiltern branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is holding a sale of second-hand, nearly-new children's cloths, toys, equipment and maternity wear at Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham on Saturday 4 October in the afternoon.
The meeting opened with Christine Hobbs asking us to adjourn outside to the flagpole, where Ian Harvey from the parish council officially presented us with our new WI flag, which Margot Morton hoisted.
Mr Harvey took the chance to present Holmer Green 800th Centenary Plates to Merrin Molesworth, former mayor of Chesham, and Mr and Mrs Pocock for their support of the parish council.
Back in the hall we sang Jerusalem before Mrs Hobbs welcomed 55 members and Margaret Beale's sister-in-law on holiday from New Zealand. There were six apologies.
Members of Amersham Centre National Trust meet on the second Thursday each month at 8pm from September to April in Drake Hall at the Community Association Centre, Chiltern Avenue.
We have specially selected speakers giving talks on a wide range of subjects, usually with the aid of slides. The centre also runs about 20 outings a year to gardens, concerts and other places of interest.
These have ranged from Greenwich Palace and Maritime Museum to Tyntesfield and Dyrham Park or the Beating Retreat by the Horseguards Parade.
We are always keen to attract new members to the centre who are already members of the National Trust or who are willing to join.
Our next meeting is on October 9, when we have a demonstration by the Launton Handbell Ringers followed by our AGM. On November 13, we have an excellent speaker to talk about 'A History of British Theatre'.
Why not come along to a meeting? Ask for John Payne and you will be given a warm welcome and introduced to our chairman.
Barbara Owen gave a very humorous talk on Healthy Living at the meeting of the Amersham and Chesham Hard of Hearing Club in September.
Mrs Owen, a qualified domestic science teacher, does not think that people should feel guilty if they occasionally indulge themselves, but believes that people are the best judge of what their bodies need. She says those of a happy disposition and who eat what they like - but in moderation - will lead a healthy life.

In previous years the fair has often been a focus for anti-social behaviour.
