AN EIGHTEEN year old and his father are a step closer to opening a new 76 seat restaurant at Hill Avenue, Amersham.
Can Ay and his father Riza Ay plan to open the restaurant, on the site of a former charity shop, in September. It will be open all day, starting with breakfast from 10am and closing after dinner at 11pm on Monday to Saturday and 10.30pm on Sunday.

Final decisions have not been made on the menu yet, but it will be "cheap and cheerful" and along the lines of lasagna and chips, and there may be one or two Turkish dishes, said Mr Ay jnr, who is Turkish.
Mr Ay jnr sought to reassure residents who have complained that the sale of alcohol will lead to more noise.
He said: " I understand their concerns but it's not going to be a pub or a bar, the main priority is to have a meal, and the drink is secondary. We won't be allowing people just to have a drink."
Concerned resident Brian Shelly, of Elm Close, Amersham, said in a submission to Chiltern District Council's licensing committee earlier this month: "We have seen people well under the age of 18 drinking alcohol near our house and it is a crime to buy alcohol for such people."
The restaurant was told to insist on proof of age cards at all times and to rigorously enforce drinking up times. They must also install CCTV, signs prohibiting drinking outside, and warnings about anti-social behaviour.
They pair need planning permission for change of use before they can open the restaurant.
Mr Ay senior has bought the freehold to the premises including the flat above which the pair may use as accommodation, as they live in Walthamstow, East London. This will be the third restaurant the pair have opened. The other two were in South London and North London and have been sold on.
